Giulia, President of the APS Sintomi di Felicità, is from Livorno and a member of the Italian national team. At just 21, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, but that didn’t stop her from continuing to play sports something that has always been essential in her life. Since childhood, she explored many disciplines, but volleyball has always been her favorite first standing, now sitting.
“Sport is the one certainty in my life; it clears every doubt,” she says with determination.
She’s the reigning European Champion and has competed in two Paralympic Games: Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. With her club, she has won numerous titles, becoming one of the most prominent figures in the Paralympic movement.
Professionally, Giulia also works in sports. A graduate in Nursing Science, she works as a nurse at a sports medicine center. She also earned a Master’s in Sports and Motor Activity Management and is co-founder and Vice President of Strabilianti, a committee promoting Paralympic sports and culture.
Her biggest fan? Her son Andrea, who cheers her on with pride and admiration in everything she does.
